AUSTRALIAN TAI CHI INSTITUTE

The Australian Tai Chi Institute believes your health is your best investment and invites you to join our classes and take the first step

to improving your health and wellbeing.

We offer innovative Tai Chi programs that are not only safe, effective and enjoyable, they are easily modified for individual needs

and are suitable for all ages and fitness levels.

You can rest assured your health is in good hands as you learn from an Internationally recognised Master Trainer and a team of qualified Instructors who are dedicated to helping people on their journey to better health.

Our scientifically researched health programs are supported by

Diabetes Australia and Arthritis Organisations worldwide.

The Tai Chi Wellness Centre is centrally located close to Newcastle CBD with additional classes held throughout the region.

The Director

Master Trainer Cheryl Lee began Tai Chi training in 1988 in Australia and Hong Kong, centering her traditional training in Sydney with Master Fong Lee and Master Kam Fung.

Her ’Tai Chi Wellness’ Instructor Certification Course is approved by Fitness Australia and recognised nationwide.

The only Tai Chi Master Trainer in the Hunter Region accredited to the Australian Sports Commission, her passion for the many health benefits of Tai Chi inspired her focus on ‘Tai Chi for Health’ programs.

Cheryl Lee is certified in Tai Chi for Arthritis, Diabetes and Back Pain and is one of only 45 world wide accredited Master Trainers in Health Forms.

Another of her many rewarding achievements includes the highly successful Tai Chi 4 Kidz program and DVD which she created and produced with colleague Dr. Paul Lam. The Australian Tai Chi Institute has fully qualified instructors in this program who are  actively involved with  after school care programs.
